Rev. Adolfo Borges, current president of the National Hispanic Convention, LCMS, and an Associate Pastor at Prince of Peace, Orlando, FL. has extended an invitation to all pastors and professional church workers in the Oklahoma District to attend our Natioal Hispanic Convention. The Convention is bilingual. It is also an opportunity for some ministries to participate as exhibitors. Check out the links below.
Semi-Annual Pastors’ Wives’ Retreat
“Greet One Another!”
October 5-6, 2018
Rev. Dr. Darrell Zimmerman of Grace Place Lutheran Wellness Ministries will lead us in sessions addressing joy, while we take time to retreat into God’s Word and sisterly fellowship.
Tentative schedule includes a 5pm Opening Worship Service and free time for socializing either in the Hampton Inn Bricktown or out around Bricktown Friday 7:15pm and following.
Theme verses are 2 Corinthians 13:10-12:
Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. Greet one another with a holy kiss.

President Henke will send a letter to your congregation asking for $100 as your registration. Full scholarships are also available—the district wants healthy, happy ministry wives and families!
Official registration will be from August 1st through September 21st. Wives of retired pastors and “vicar wives” welcome! Nursing infants are welcome, too.
