LWML Oklahoma District Convention 2020 

Bulletin Highlighters

Please begin, on Sunday, February 23, using these highlighters in your church bulletins and newsletters to promote our convention April 17-18, 2020. These highlighters are also available on our website www.oklwml.org


Your Invitation: You are cordially invited to attend the LWML Oklahoma District Convention April 17-18, 2020 at the Hilton Garden Inn, Edmond, OK.  Servant activities begin Friday, 9 a.m. with convention convening at 1 p.m. Jan Struck will be our Keynote Speaker. Be refreshed through the Word!  Worship, learn of missions abroad, and participate in servant activities with us. Mark your calendar and plan to attend. Information at oklwml.org.

Bible Study: Deaconess Betty Knapp, who serves as VP of Special Focus Ministry, will be the Bible Study Leader at our LWML Oklahoma District Convention April 17-18, 2020 in Edmond. Leading the Bible study for convention on both days, you are sure to glean wisdom from God’s Word through the eyes and heart of this deaconess. Join us at convention and hear the Word of God from this inspirational Bible study leader. Information at oklwml.org.

Special Mite Activity: Come Build a Mitey Bear to raise money for Mites. Purchase a bear for $10, embellish it with items provided. The bears can be donated or taken home. During convention, mission grants for the next biennium will be selected. Join your LWML sisters at the LWML Oklahoma District Convention on April 17-18, 2020 in Edmond. Information at oklwml.org.

Servant Activities:  At our LWML Oklahoma District Convention, April 17-18, 2020 we will have many servant activities to benefit others. We will assemble gift bags for the Garfield Advocacy Council, cut out aprons and bibs for nursing homes, produce Braille pages, tie fleece baby blankets and lap blankets. Come, join your LWML sisters as we work, laugh, and joyously prepare these mission gifts. See you Friday, April 17, at 9 a.m. in Edmond. Information at oklwml.org.

Gifts from the Heart: A question that many ask when preparing to attend LWML convention is how can I help? LWML Oklahoma District will be collecting the following items:  Baby blankets, Walmart and Amazon Gift Cards for Pregnancy Resource Center, monetary donations to purchase CPH gift cards for Oklahoma District Seminary Students, and men’s and women’s sock and underwear (no white) and school supplies for the homeless. Join in, bring a friend, and come to LWML Oklahoma District Convention April 17-18, 2020, in Edmond. Information at oklwml.org.

Worship and Communion Service: Want to experience an opportunity to share praise and worship with Lutherans across the Oklahoma District? Come to the opening worship service of the LWML Oklahoma District Convention on April 17, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. The service will be held at Hilton Garden Inn, Edmond. Information at oklwml.org.

LWML Store: Come, shop at the LWML Store April 17-18 during the LWML Oklahoma District Convention 2020. Many items with the new logo are available. You’ll be a walking witness for the Lord with LWML apparel and devotional products. Information at oklwml.org. See you there!
